BBC World - FoST - The World Challenge 2007

Due to their hard work, success and dedication to help,  educate and empower poor communities,  while protecting the environment, FoST Nepal (Foundation of Sustainable Technologies) is among the 12 finalists for the World Challenge 2007!
This global competition was set up three years ago by the BBC World, Newsweek and Shell to recognize the innovators of this world. The jury of the World Challenge has chosen FoST as one of the dozen finalists to be filmed for the 2007 series. The popular programme was shown on BBC World and featured in Newsweek in October 2007. Over 940 nominations were received which makes reaching the final 12 a great achievement for FoST!

For people who missed the documentary about FoST on BBC World, we have put the video on our website and blog.

For more information about FoST please visit their website: www.fost-nepal.org or our personal website: www.gorpproductions.com

is the challenge only about protecting the environment of Nepal? Or are you also trying to help the nepal community get their own territory from China?

Thank you for your interest. I think you have mix up Nepal with Tibet. Nepal and Tibet are 2 very different countries although there are many Tibetan refugees living in Nepal. It is Tibet that is now part of China. If you want more info about Tibet or Nepal please go to Wikipedia. Thanks
